Babysitter Training
Babysitters Training courses are now being offered at the Tippecanoe County Chapter of the American Red Cross. American Red Cross training is developed for students, ages 11-15, and focuses on the following areas:
- Leadership skills
- Resume building and interviewing
- Basic Care Diapering and feeding techniques
- Safe age-appropriate play practices
- Bedtime issues
- First Aid Certification
- Conscious choking skill
The purpose of the training is to provide individuals with information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care of children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. The course is 7 hours of training. At the conclusion of training, each student will receive certification in babysitters training and first aid.

Cost:
$30.00, which includes a handbook . Students need to bring a baby doll with them for demonstrating skills. Students should also bring lunch with them to class.
