Benefiting Services to the Armed Forces & Emergency Responders

Join us on Memorial Day, May 30, 2009, for the first Run for the RED event, a 5K/10K Walk/Run benefiting military and veteran's services through the Red Cross.

Race Day Registration at the NORTH side of the Indiana Veterans Home located at 3851 N River Rd in West Lafayette, IN. Take Highway 43 north towards I-65. Turn left into the Veterans Home Drive. Park on the northwestern corner of the property. Volunteers will direct you.

Registration & Packet Pick-up is from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Be sure to get here early because registration will close promptly at 8:00 am.

The Opening Ceremony is at 8:15 am. The 10K (6.2 mile) race starts at 8:30 am with the 5K (3.1 mile) race starting at 8:50 am. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 9:45 am.

Scoring and Timing
The DAG Chip System is used for timing the 5K and 10K. The chip is attached to the back of the bib number. No wasting time, pick up your bib number and have your chip already in place. All awards and results are based off of starting gun time - not the time you cross the start line.

Awards and Recognition

Awards will be presented at the 9:45 am. Top male and female in the 5K and 10K will receive a Family First Aid Kit.

Age division recognition will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each age division. The age increments start at 20-29 to 60 & over in 10 year increments.

Youth Age Division
Youth recognition for first, second and third place in the run in age divisions 14 & under and 15-19.
