Job Title: American Red Cross Christmas Gift Program, Data Entry and Database Management
Purpose: Families are able to register their children for free toys and clothing during the holiday season. All completed registration forms must be entered into an Excel Database so that children can be matched to sponsors.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter data from a completed registration form to an Excel database.
- Translate Spanish to English if qualified.
- Call registrants for more information if fields are missing or incomplete.
Qualifications:
- Interest in people and the ability to work well with volunteers and paid staff.
- Knowledge of the American Red Cross Christmas Gift Assistance Programs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word and working with databases.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus.
Training:
- Orientation to the American Red Cross. (video or online modules)
- On the job training as necessary.
- Flexible, but with the minimum of 4 hours per week during the office hours, Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm. This position is season and lasts between the last week of October to mid December.
